Fearsomely Flickering Flourescents

Fear fills.
Fearsomely flickering fluorescent in the parking lot.
Fearsomely they flick, like some fearsome fight is fought.
Fear fills.

There's like eight fluorescent lights in the parking lot of this building which are flickering incessantly incandescently. Honestly it was like trying to walk through a club with no one in it and no music playing but the strobe lights on full blast.

Two things about flickering fluorescents:

1) A fluorescent light, when flickering, is actually a portal to another dimension. Beware what might come through. True story.

2) Whenever a fluorescent flickers an angel yells: "Someone change that blasted light bulb!"

And to ease your eyes out of the post, here's a song from Settlers of Catan, The Soundtrack I'm intermittently (not inner mitten-y cause its hard to play guitar with mittens on) based on the board game. It's called:

Everybody's Building Stuff But Me

Everybody’s building stuff but me,
Everybody’s building stuff but me,
I just can’t make it stick, without no wood or brick
Everybody’s building stuff but me.

Everybody’s building stuff but me,
Everybody’s building stuff but me,
I am so bloody poor, cause I can’t get no ore
Everybody’s building stuff but me.

Chorus:
You know it just ain’t right
Since they added Cities and Knights’
I can’t keep track of a commodity
My problem’s gettin’ serial
Without all the materials
Everybody’s Buildin’ Stuff but me.

Everybody’s building stuff but me,
Everybody’s building stuff but me,
I feel so bloody cheap, tradin’ ore for sheep
Everybody’s building stuff but me.

Everybody’s building stuff but me,
Everybody’s building stuff but me,
Am I gonna have to cheat, to get myself some wheat?
Everybody’s building stuff but me,

Chorus X2
Everybody’s building stuff but me, (Fade out)

To the tune of "Oh wee oh, oooooh oh." from the Wizard of Oz: "Brick, wheat, ore or a sheep to get some more."
